Brian Diamond represented a 56 year-old single woman who was struck by a dump truck while turning left at an intersection. The side impact pinned her in her car, and she had to be extracted by cutting the roof off the car. She was diagnosed with an injury to her spleen and with soft tissue spinal injury, and had to be kept flat in bed for a length of time to avoid re-injuring the spleen and possibly requiring its removal.
