Anne Knight (Annie) joined Walsh, Knippen, Knight & Pollock, Chartered, in January of 2011. She is excited to be a part of such an excellent team of attorneys. She is also pleased to have the opportunity to use her skills to advocate for plaintiffs and serve the needs of the firm’s municipal clients.
Prior to joining Walsh, Knippen, Knight & Pollock, Chartered, Annie spent two years as a staff attorney with the 18th Judicial Circuit Court of DuPage County. In that position, she conducted research and writing for the 46 judges in the Circuit. Working for the court was an invaluable experience. She learned a great deal from the judges and hopes to carry all that she learned into her advocacy practice.
In addition to practicing law, Annie is an adjunct professor at the College of DuPage where she teaches legal research and writing to students seeking to earn a certificate or associates degree in Paralegal Studies. She enjoys having the opportunity to teach the law to non-lawyers and to learn from them in the process.
In 2008, Annie received her law degree from Thomas Jefferson School of law in San Diego, California where she graduated in the top 6% of her class. While in law school, she served as Co-Chief Notes Editor of Thomas Jefferson Law Review. In that role, she mentored other students as they embarked on the process of writing academic scholarship. Annie was also Chair of the Career Committee for the law school’s Public Interest Law Foundation and an active member of the Women’s Law Association. Finally, Annie was a 2008 law school recipient of the National Burton Award of Legal Achievement.
In her free time Annie enjoys being outdoors, running, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
